Product Description:

It is anhydrous gallic acid made from gallon tannin through hydrolysis, separation, decoloring and drying. It is white or light gray crystalline powder.

Main Uses:

It has many uses in pharmaceutical, ink, dyes, food, light industry and organic synthesis. Gallic acid and ferric ion can generate blue-back precipitate, which is the raw material of blue and black ink; in industry, it can be used for making leather; and it can also be used as photographic developer. Propyl gallate is an antioxidant, so it can be used in edible oil to prevent rancidity. In medicine, gallic acid is a hemostatic astringent and is also a mild local stimulant.
